Emerson Borg is a trumpeter and composer from Raleigh, North Carolina, currently based in Baltimore. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from UNC Greensboro and a Master of Music from the Peabody Institute, where he was a part of the jazz fellowship program under the mentorship of acclaimed trumpeter Sean Jones.

 

Known for his versatility, Emerson is fluent in a wide range of styles including straight-ahead jazz, pop, funk, and R&B. His trumpet playing serves as both a personal form of expression and a way to connect with fellow musicians and audiences alike.

 

Emerson is currently on a European tour with Kim Deal and has extensive studio experience, having tracked horns and collaborated with artists to help bring their musical visions to life. His recording credits include work with Fran Vielma, Shane Wheeler, and Joseph Foglia among others. In addition to his creative projects, he regularly performs with top entertainment agencies such as East Coast Entertainment, Washington Talent, Avenue 66, and Louis Pettinelli Entertainment.
